For any Joni Mitchell fans out there listen to “Come in from the cold,” BBC Radio 2′s documentary on the legendary artist, who according to the documentary, invented the singer/songwriter genre – not too shabby.

Is there a female singer-songwriter of the last 40 years who hasn’t been influenced by Joni? (some men too, but not so much, i think). I still regret not making the 6 hour drive to Saskatoon for Joni’s big art show at the Mendell Gallery in 2000.
