Yep, that’s me. O’ Mother Where Art Thou? a piece on the realities of family life for female lawyers working on Bay Street, in Precedent’s winter 2009 issue, has been nominated for best feature at the Kenneth R. Wilson Awards. Woot! Woot!
Precedent is also in the running for magazine of the year and three other awards. Not too shabby for a new magazine that only publishes four times a year. Congrats to outgoing managing editor Claire Ward (now at Macleans) and editor and publisher Melissa Kluger.
Now, back to editing my next feature – on why some well-off folk love to steal. It was a piece I crafted in David Hayes’s feature writing course at Ryerson (highly recommended).
